Bashar Assad and Putin meeting in Moscow/Putin: The situation in the Middle East is deteriorating
"Vladimir Putin" and "Bashar Assad", the presidents of the Russian and Syrian republics, during a meeting in Moscow, while reviewing the latest security developments in the region, emphasized the need to develop bilateral relations. Before the private meeting with his Syrian counterpart in Moscow, the Russian president said that he plans to talk with Bashar al-Assad "about the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, which also applies to Syria."
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad: We have the opportunity to talk about our entire relationship. We have not seen each other for a long time. Of course, I'm very interested in your opinion on how things are developing in the region as a whole. Unfortunately, things are getting worse and we're seeing it.

Putin added: Regarding our trade and economic relations, there are many issues here as well. There are promising directions. I hope we can share this with you. I am glad to see you. welcome!

Meanwhile, "Taha Khalid Mansour" wrote in Al-Quds al-Arabi: At last week's NATO meeting in Washington, Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited Syrian President Bashar Assad to a joint meeting in Turkey or a third country, but Assad has not yet accepted this invitation.

According to Shafqna, he added: Although Turkey has declared its desire to reach an agreement with Assad, it does not offer unconditional normalization of relations and does not show a desire to make concessions.

According to this report, in the upcoming meeting between Assad and Erdogan, four issues will be discussed: the first issue is legitimizing the presence of Turkish forces in northern Syria. Turkey's intervention in this area began in the nineties, and the purpose of the upcoming meeting with Bashar al-Assad is to strengthen and expand the Adana Agreement, which was signed between Turkey and Syria in October 1998, and may include more of those areas. But the third goal is to reach an agreement to separate the Kurdistan Workers' Party from the Kurdistan Patriotic Union Party, while Turkey has started an operation for the same purpose and in order to create a buffer zone between Iraq and Syria in Dohuk province in Kurdistan, Iraq.
