Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to a statement released by the ministry’s press office, the plan, meticulously developed by the ministry’s experts, was presented to Maulavi Ataullah Omari, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock. The plan focuses on providing sustainable alternatives to poppy cultivation, following the decree by the esteemed Supreme Leader, which bans the cultivation of poppy plants.

The five-year plan outlines various projects designed to bolster the economic resilience of farmers.
