Herzog allowed to disembark in Paris after being held on plane for 40 minutes amid security scare
Israeli President Isaac Herzog was barred from disembarking the plane in Paris for “40 minutes” due to a security scare.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Herzog and his delegation were ordered by French police to remain onboard the plane upon arrival in Paris due to a security incident on Wednesday as his spokesperson told the Hebrew-language Israel Hayom daily newspaper. 
Later on, the Times of Israel, an online Israeli newspaper, quoted Herzog’s spokesperson as saying that the president and his companions were finally allowed to disembark the plane 40 minutes after landing.
“The president and his delegation have now disembarked and resumed the schedule as planned,” the spokesperson said without giving details of the incident.
According to the Walla news site, upon landing, there was a sighting of a suspicious individual on a nearby rooftop.
The Israeli Olympic delegation in Paris is receiving increased security due to threats and calls for their exclusion amid the ongoing brutal war the regime imposed on the blockaded Palestinian enclave.
The Israeli delegation to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 arrived in the French capital on Monday before Friday’s opening ceremony and was immediately placed under 24-hour tight protection by France’s police force.
