The foreign minister of Ukraine announced that the country is ready to negotiate with Russia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kolba said in a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that his country is ready to negotiate with Russia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and China discussed the establishment of peace talks with Russia to end the war.

"Mao Ning", the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted Kolba as saying on Wednesday: "The Ukrainian side is willing and ready to hold dialogue and negotiations with the Russian side." Of course, negotiations should be reasonable, pragmatic and aimed at achieving a fair and lasting peace.

He also said he was looking to reach "common ground" in talks with his Chinese counterpart on ending his country's war against Russia.

In a meeting with Kolba in Guangzhou, Wang Yi said: "The Chinese side believes that the resolution of all conflicts should ultimately come from the negotiation table, and the resolution of all conflicts should be done through political means."

He also said that China attaches great importance to relations with Ukraine, pointed to the growth of trade between the two countries and said that their relations have made their normal progress despite the complex and constantly changing regional and international situation.

Due to its close relations with Russia, China has been trying to end the war in Ukraine in a way that takes into account the interests of the warring parties. This position of Beijing contrasts with the position of Ukraine and its Western supporters, who consider Russia's withdrawal from Ukraine as the basis for any conflict resolution.
