Ronaldo made history in the Saudi League
With the two goals he scored against Al Ittihad team, Cristiano Ronaldo reached the historical record of the highest number of goals in one season of the Saudi professional league and made history for his team.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): One of the many Saudi football classics was accompanied by a big record breaking for the Portuguese legend. By scoring two goals against Al Ittihad, Cristiano Ronaldo increased his number of goals to 35 in this season to overtake Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah to win the title of the most goals in one season in the history of the Saudi Professional League.

Ronaldo needed to score three times in this match to finally get one of them accepted. First, in the 10th minute, he escaped from the depth of the Ittihad defensive line and got possession of the ball in the corner of the penalty area.

He scored again in the 44th minute and in the offside situation. Sadio Mane's spectacular move from the right side and his pass in front of the goal reached Ronaldo, who also opened the goal easily, but at the moment of sending the Senegalese striker, Cristiano was offside and this goal was rejected.

Finally, Ronaldo managed to score in the third minute of stoppage time. The spectacular deep pass of Mohammad Al-Fateel, which was given from inside the field, reached Ronaldo, who after a spectacular chest control, the superstar put the ball into the goal to make the game 1-0.

Al-Nasr's captain also received a dismissal from the opposing team. Ronaldo was one-on-one with the Al-Ittihad goalkeeper on a sharp escape, which was brought down by Suylem Al-Manhali's foul, and the referee sent him off with a straight red card. Minutes later, the superstar was able to score the second goal as well.

Marcelo Brozovic's corner kick was followed by Ronaldo's header to make the game 2-0 and achieve an extraordinary record. He increased his number of goals to 35 in this season to pass the record of 34 goals of Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah in the 2018-2019 season, and become the most goalscorer in one season in all periods of the Saudi League competitions.

In addition, with 11 assists, Ronaldo had a direct effect on 46 Al-Nasr goals to surpass the record of 43 goals and assists of Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah and set a record in this field as well.

Ronaldo was replaced in the 74th minute to rest for the crucial match of the FA Cup final against Al-Hilal.

It should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player in history to win the title of Mr. Goal in four different leagues. He has already become Mr. Goal three times in the Spanish La Liga, once in the Premier League, once in the Italian Serie A, and now in the Saudi Professional League to enter his name in the world football record book.
