Hadi Tahannazeef, a lawyer member and spokesperson of Iran's Guardian Council, while expressing his condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi and his companions, announced that the presidential election will be held in this country within the next 50 days.

The spokesman of Iran's Guardian Council stated: These beloved servants received the wages of years of military service, service and service to the noble nation of Iran on the night of Imam Reza's (AS) birthday.

Tahan Nazif further emphasized: their good name, efforts and services will not be lost because of the people. This incident is a great loss, but as the Supreme Leader said, there will be no disruption in the line of service to the people, and the constitution has provided for such days.

In this regard, he referred to Article 131 of the Iranian Constitution and said: "With the approval of the Supreme Leader, the administration of the country will be the responsibility of the first deputy, and the powers and responsibilities of the presidency will be with him."

Tahannazeef added: Also, a council consisting of the speaker of the parliament, the head of the judiciary, and the first vice president will be formed and they must make arrangements to hold the presidential election within 50 days.

The spokesman of the Guardian Council said: Everything will be followed according to the law and according to the constitution, there will be no problems.

Also, in response to the question of how long the next president will be elected, he said: According to the constitution, the presidential term is four years and the next elected by the people will be elected for a four-year period.
