Putin warns Western countries with nuclear weapons
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow would consider it a "joint attack on the Russian Federation" if any Western country with nuclear weapons helped Ukraine in a "conventional attack" on Russia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Putin made the remarks at a meeting of the Security Council, which is considering proposals for changes in Russia's nuclear doctrine.

Putin said the proposal for a "joint attack on the Russian Federation" included a revised version of the country's nuclear doctrine. It is not clear whether Russia will respond to a joint attack with nuclear weapons, but the use of these weapons includes new proposals.

The Russian president has warned the United States and NATO that if they allow Ukraine to use Western long-range weapons against Russia, it will open the door to war between Russia and NATO countries.

Russia is gradually taking control of Ukrainian territories, and the Kremlin is trying to discourage Western countries from providing strong support to Kiev.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced $375 million in new military aid to Ukraine. The aid package includes rocket launchers, cluster ammunition and light combat vehicles.

He added that Washington is committed to defending Ukraine and that the new aid will be sent to Kiev as soon as possible.

Under President Joe Biden, the United States has provided about $175 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine since 2022.
