The head of the "Alliance Against Iran Nuclear Group" passed away
Joseph Lieberman, the former representative of the state of Connecticut in the Senate of the United States Congress and the head of the Coalition Against Nuclear Iran, who had Jewish origin, died at the age of 82.

Joseph Lieberman, who won the vice-presidential ticket with Al Gore in the 2000 election, was also the head of the "Coalition Group Against Nuclear Iran"; A non-profit organization that was formed in 2008 to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from becoming a nuclear power.
 
Lieberman tried to win the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in 2004, but dropped out after a poor showing in the primaries.
 
He was a staunch supporter of the Iraq war.
 
Lieberman later became an independent politician. His criticism of Barack Obama, the candidate of the Democratic Party in the 2008 presidential election, affected many of his former party members.
 
Joseph Lieberman, a graduate of Yale Law School, served as the Connecticut State Attorney General from 1983 to 1988.
