Crocker: The Doha meeting will not give legitimacy to the government of the Islamic Emirate
Ryan Crocker, the former ambassador of the United States to Afghanistan and Pakistan, said that the upcoming Doha meeting cannot give legitimacy to the government of the Islamic Emirate.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In an interview with Voice of America, Crocker added that the United Nations, as the host of this meeting, should clarify that the Islamic Emirate does not "deserve to be recognized" and should not be accepted as a legitimate government.

This former American diplomat has stated that the Biden government has forgotten Afghanistan and does not care about the issue of banning the work and education of women and girls.

He has claimed that the Islamic Emirate has not changed intellectually and politically compared to its previous government, it has maintained its relations with the Al-Qaeda network and has become a threat to the people of Afghanistan, the region and the world.

Crocker added that the United States needs to continue its diplomatic efforts in the region and avoid risks and tensions.

He stated: "Especially in the pitiful situation that Pakistan is in, of course, considering the size of that country and its nuclear weapons, we have a responsibility to be cautious."

This is while the Islamic Emirate has repeatedly emphasized that it does not allow Afghanistan's soil to be used against the security of other countries.

The two-day meeting of the special representatives of countries for Afghanistan will begin next Sunday in Doha.
