Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that the main purpose of holding this meeting in the beautiful city of Kabul is to discuss the formation of a region-oriented narrative, with the aim of developing regional cooperation, for positive and constructive interaction between Afghanistan and the countries of the region. Regional cooperation can be focused on the following main issues:
- Examining the ways of regional interaction and cooperation, based on common regional interests;
- Creating a region-oriented narrative for positive and constructive interaction with the Afghan government, to fight against actual and potential threats in the region.
Maulavi Motaghi continued: Afghanistan, as a country that has experienced insecurity and instability for nearly half a century, does not want any country in the region to experience insecurity and instability, and for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the security of the region is of great importance.
He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is ready to interact and cooperate with the countries of the region through joint work, based on common interests and mutual respect.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate continued: Certainly, during the period of time that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been in place, it has been proven that the regional perspective based on economic connectivity in the center of the region forms one of the basic foundations of the foreign policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
He added: We believe that the progress and economic development of Afghanistan and the region have a consistent relationship with each other. This economic dependence requires us to expand the joint work in the region as much as possible.
Maulavi Muttaqi said: It is required that the countries of the region coordinate and cooperate positively and constructively with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on the one hand to prevent the possibility of an unfavorable situation in the region, and on the other hand, in the post-war phase, to take advantage of the opportunities of regional connection and increasing regional-oriented interactions.
He stated that, during nearly half a century of war and instability in Afghanistan, it was seen that the plans brought to Afghanistan from outside did not cure the pain of the Afghans.
According to the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, after twenty years of struggle for freedom and the establishment of the Islamic system, today we determine our destiny in our own hands. Unfortunately, the near and far history of Afghanistan has proved that the imposed imported versions could not prove to be effective for Afghanistan.
He emphasized that the plans of the United Nations, which were presented during the work of various envoys, unfortunately did not have any results other than war, instability and the occupation of Afghanistan.
Maulavi Muttaqi emphasized that whether the plans of countries or international organizations, or the plans of special envoys, all the external versions under any name and address presented had the opposite result.
Based on this, he stated that the government of the Islamic Emirate is ready and has the capacity to discuss common issues and concerns with regional and international directions.
This senior official of the Islamic Emirate stated: Afghanistan, as a country that has gone through a long imposed conflict and achieved peace, security and stability, does not need a special representative of other United Nations and a new mission in the existence of UNAMA, therefore, considering The lessons of history should not repeat the bitter experiences of the past.
He reminded that today, after at least two decades of struggle and sacrifice of the Afghan people, Afghanistan is an independent, free, safe country with a government that can work on behalf of Afghanistan on all issues of interest to the region and the world. that Afghanistan does not want confrontation and conflict in any direction, but has always emphasized on positive interaction. Therefore, the choice of us Afghans should be respected, and instead of presenting versions of governance and pointing fingers at the type of system, it is good to interact on common interests.
Maulavi Muttaqi asked the special representatives and ambassadors of the different countries present at the Kabul meeting to convey the objective realities of today's Afghanistan to faraway places in the upcoming Doha meeting in order to engage in constructive interaction and cooperation with a realistic, reasonable and acceptable approach for Afghanistan. Start big development projects and take practical steps to boost trade and regional transit.
According to him, during this period of time, Afghanistan was able to organize the governance structure, organize the three security forces, neutralize the national and regional threats from the sedition group, ban the cultivation of narcotics, and mobilize the economic machine of the country.
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate noted: After nearly half a century of aggressions, interventions and chaos and instability, it is good to finally give a chance to a local solution for the issues, and the Islamic EmirateAfghanistan is determined to find a solution to the problems of which a large part is the legacy of the past.
He clarified: Afghanistan has problems like any other country. A country that has been the target of foreign invasions and interventions and internal wars for nearly half a century, it is not possible to solve all the problems in a short period of time. Within the framework of a regional consensus, the ground can be made favorable for finding incentive mechanisms to reach subject agreements that guarantee common interests.
At the end, Maulavi Muttaqi expressed his hope: by using this opportunity and initiative and also through other regional mechanisms such as the meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries or the "Moscow format", we hope that a regional consensus will be formed in which the interests of all The actors of the region should be preserved.
Meanwhile, the meeting of special representatives and ambassadors of neighboring and regional countries under the title "Afghanistan Regional Cooperation Initiative" started a few minutes ago at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul after several hours of postponement.
