Iran announced its readiness for extraterritorial cultivation in Afghanistan
The head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization of South Khorasan Province of Iran has announced the country's readiness to sign a contract for the development of extraterritorial cultivation of sugar beet with Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Mehdi Jafari said: "We are trying to sign a contract with Afghanistan for the development of extra-territorial cultivation of sugar beet in their country, either by using Afghan farmers or South Khorasan farmers, and to be exported to Iran as well."

I have to say; 29% of the economy of Iran's South Khorasan province is in the agricultural sector, and there are 83 thousand households in the agricultural sector in this province.

Since the climate and soil of South Khorasan is the same as some of the border cities of Afghanistan, it can be considered the best land for growing agricultural products due to the favorable water and soil conditions there.

Extraterritorial cultivation means planting various types of crops in other countries and importing them to the country of origin.

Extraterritorial cultivation provides the basis for the prosperity of agricultural production and the creation of food security for a country. Therefore, countries that suffer from limited internal resources (water and land) produce their necessities by this method and by renting land in other countries.
