Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Dmitriy Zhirnov, the Russian ambassador to Afghanistan, spoke to reporters in Kabul today, Saturday, January 20, regarding the tenth anniversary of the armed coup in Ukraine.
The Russian ambassador to Afghanistan said: 10 years ago today the whole world witnessed an armed coup d'état in Ukraine.
Saying that this coup was carried out with the direct support of America and Western countries and with their money and help, Mr. Zhirnov pointed out that as a result of the bloody events of the 2014 Ukrainian coup, radical forces with a nationalist spirit came to power in Kiev.
The Russian ambassador in Kabul also said about the consequences of the 2014 coup in Ukraine that the country faced a major systematic crisis after the coup and its political and economic situation was basically destroyed.
Zhirnov added: After the coup, a wave of violence engulfed Ukraine. On May 2 and 9, 2014, dozens of opponents of the illegal coup, who were celebrating Victory Day in the cities of Odysseus and Maripol, were beaten, shot and burned alive.
The Russian ambassador in Kabul emphasized the need to investigate the crimes that occurred in the 2014 coup in Ukraine, and said: Those crimes such as the "sniper case" have not been evaluated legally and the investigation has not been conducted as required.
In the end, Zhirnov pointed out that the Westerners' goal of abnormally interfering in Ukraine's internal affairs and provoking a crisis in this country is to incite Ukraine against Russia and turn that country into a launching pad for their biased and geopolitical interests.
I have to say; The Western-backed coup that took place in February 2014 in Ukraine culminated in deadly clashes between protesters and security forces in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, followed by the ouster of President Viktor Yanukovych. Also, this coup led to the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
