Mujibur Rahman was removed from the team in the Australian Big Bash League
Afghanistan cricketer Mujibur Rahman has been ruled out of Melbourne Renegades' next Australian Big Bash League match against Melbourne Stars following sanctions imposed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Earlier, the Afghanistan Cricket Board had announced that the annual contracts of Mujibur Rahman, Fazlul Haq Farooqi and Naveen Haq had been delayed and their licenses to play in commercial leagues had been revoked for ignoring "national responsibility".

The Afghanistan Cricket Board had said that the mentioned players had asked this body to be released from central contracts and be allowed to play in foreign leagues.

However, Naveen ul Haq and Fazal ul Haq Farooqi have been included in the Afghanistan squad to play in the ongoing Twenty20 series against the United Arab Emirates.

Previously, Renegades team managers had announced that they have not received any request to not participate in Mujibur Rahman's future games and will continue to support him until the end of the season.

According to CricTracker, however, the team issued a new statement on Monday announcing that Mujibur Rahman has been dropped from the squad.

The statement said: "Mujibur Rahman was left out of the team after a change in the conditions of the no-objection certificate, which made him not participate in the game."

Mujibur Rahman was present in Renegades' last match against Adelaide Strikers on December 29./Ariana News
