Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Mohammed Abdulsalam, the chief negotiator of Yemen’s National Salvation Government, held a meeting in Tehran on Monday.
Reaffirming Iran's support for peace in Yemen, Amirabdollahian expressed satisfaction with the progress in the talks between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, noting that Iran will always support the will of the Yemeni people.
The top Iranian diplomat further thanked the Ansarullah movement of Yemen for throwing its weight behind the oppressed Palestinian people, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Abdulsalam, for his part, praised Iran's constant political support for the resistance front.
He also briefed Amirabdollahian on the latest peace developments in Yemen.
Iran has always rejected a military solution to the crisis in Yemen and has called for the political settlement of the conflict with the participation of all Yemeni parties./Tasnim news
