Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Minister of Interior and the highest election official of the state of Maine on Friday removed the name of Donald Trump from the ballot papers of the US presidential primaries in this state.
Maine is the second state after Colorado to remove Trump's name from the ballot. But a Colorado official said Thursday that Trump's name will be back on the ballot.
In a 34-page ruling, the Maine state official said that the US Constitution does not tolerate attacks on the "foundations of government".
According to Reuters, the ruling can be appealed to the state Supreme Court and will not take effect until the court's decision.
Officials of Donald Trump's campaign have said that they will quickly protest against this ruling.
