The new emir of Kuwait was sworn in by the country
Sheikh Mashal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was sworn in as the new Emir of Kuwait in the country's parliament.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: After taking the oath in the parliament; Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah officially became the Emir of Kuwait. This is at a time when after the death of 86-year-old Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Meshaal Al-Ahmad arrived in the Emirate of Kuwait.
 
Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the half-brother of the late Emir of Kuwait, is 83 years old, he is the seventh son of Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who ruled Kuwait between 1921 and 1951, and is the half-brother of Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who ruled Kuwait between 1977-2006.
 
The new emir of Kuwait said in his swearing-in ceremony: "Kuwait's regional policy will not change and we will maintain all our regional and international obligations."
 
He also added: We must be close to everyone as a political leader.
 
The new emir of Kuwait emphasized: We emphasize the importance of valid follow-up, monitoring and accountability within the framework of the constitution.
 
At the same time, media sources reported that members of the Kuwaiti government submitted their resignations to the new emir of the country in order to form a new cabinet.
 
Kuwait's official news agency (KUNA) announced that "Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah", the Prime Minister of Kuwait, submitted the resignation of the members of the government to him a few hours after the swearing-in of "Mashal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah", the new Emir of this country.
 
It should be mentioned that the 83-year-old Emir of Kuwait entered the Ministry of Interior in the sixties of the 20th century and was the head of the Public Investigation Department from 1967 to 1980. During his presidency, this department became the government security department.
 
Meshaal was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Kuwait National Guard on January 13, 2004.
