Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Australia has announced that the country has pledged to provide 265 million dollars in aid to refugees around the world at the World Refugee Forum in Geneva.
According to the ministry, 253 million dollars of this amount of aid is supposed to be allocated to support Rohingya refugees and needy communities in Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Also, 20 million dollars have been earmarked to support the people of Afghanistan and displaced people of this country to neighboring countries and another 10 million dollars to support the people of Sudan and those displaced to neighboring countries.
A statement from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs stated that the world is facing a deep crisis with more than 114 million displaced people worldwide.
Afghanistan is one of the countries that has the most displaced people.
The crisis in this country has recently intensified with the deportation of immigrants from Pakistan.
It should be mentioned that more than half a million people have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan in recent months.
