Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Pakistani media reported that 10 people were killed and 25 injured in an armed attack on a passenger bus on the Karakoram highway in Chelas city, the center of Diamer district in northern Pakistan.
According to Express Tribune, Arif Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Diamer District in Gilgit-Baltistan Autonomous Region, said that the attack occurred at 6:30 PM on Saturday (December 2) when a passenger bus was shot by unknown people and then He collided with a truck in front of him.
According to him, two Pakistani army soldiers are also among the dead and one other soldier was also injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for this attack and the motive for the shooting is not known.
Gulbar Khan, the minister of Gilgit-Baltistan province, called this attack a cowardly terrorist act.
He announced the formation of a special investigation team to investigate this incident.
Gilgit-Baltistan is a mountainous region that borders Afghanistan's Wakhan Corridor in the north.
