Russia: The danger of the Gaza war spreading threatens the entire region

Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA) - International Service: Despite the establishment of a temporary ceasefire between the interim Zionist regime and the Hamas movement and the humanitarian pause in the Gaza war, Russia warned about the risk of the conflict spreading.

Dmitry Chumakov, Russia's deputy representative to the United Nations, said during the General Assembly meeting: "We are facing a conflict on an unprecedented scale, which threatens to spread to the entire region, the Middle East."

Chumakov explained on Wednesday morning: "The American policy has played a destructive role in the escalation of current tensions in its long-term view of the continuation of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the war in Gaza has caused "unspeakable suffering" for Palestinian civilians.

In a message on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Putin stated that the formation of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders is one of the main conditions for establishing a lasting and just peace between Palestine and the Zionist regime.
