The foreign ministers of the G7 member states said in a statement on Wednesday morning: "We support the extension of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel and the agreement on future breaks if necessary, to increase the aid sent to the Gaza Strip and the release of all hostages."
"We call on the Houthis to immediately stop attacks against [Israel] and threats to international shipping lines and release the Galaxy Leader ship and its crew," the statement said.
The foreign ministers of the Group of 7 also added: "We appreciate the efforts of the United States, Qatar and Egypt to stop hostilities and support the efforts of the United Nations to provide assistance."
Earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday morning welcomed the agreement to extend the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for two days./Fars news
