Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The South Korean presidential spokesperson announced that Yoon Suk-yul, after meeting with South Korean Army Chief of Staff Kim Myung-soo and Defense Minister Shin Won-sik, informed about the situation.
The President of South Korea said: We must maintain our strong military preparedness position while closely and fully monitoring the actions and movements of North Korea so that our citizens can feel calm and safe.
The order came after Pyongyang successfully put a new spy satellite into orbit, prompting Seoul to suspend part of a 2018 agreement aimed at reducing military tensions between the two Koreas. In response to this action, North Korea announced that it will restore all military actions suspended under the agreement.
