Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Speaking at a Sunday session of the Iranian cabinet, Hossein Amir abdollahian gave a report on the latest developments in Gaza and Iran’s diplomatic efforts to end the Zionist regime’s atrocities against Palestine.
Describing the Al-Aqsa Storm operation that Hamas carried out outside Gaza on October 7 as a crushing political, military and security blow to the Zionist regime, Amirabdollahian said a number of American institutions say it was tantamount to the political and security collapse of the Israeli regime.
“Despite the Zionist regime’s war machine operation under the political, media and security management of the US with the purpose of restoring the ruined reputation, the resistance current’s fighters still have the initiatives on the field,” he added.
The Israeli regime’s recent attempts to invade Gaza with a ground operation has ended in failure and resulted in heavy Israeli casualties, Amir abdollahian added, noting, “According to the evaluation of the resistance leaders, if such conditions continue, Gaza will undoubtedly become a quagmire in which the Zionist military forces will go down.”
The Israeli regime’s bombardment of Gaza, particularly in the north of the enclave, increases in intensity as Israeli ground forces are expanding operations.
On Friday night, the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas revealed “the failure of the Zionist enemy’s attempts to invade Gaza through a ground assault”, stating that the Israeli military fell into ambushes prepared by the Palestinian resistance fighters on multiple fronts.
At least 8,005 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks since October 7.
Fears of a possible strike on Gaza’s Al-Quds Hospital have grown after the Israeli regime ordered its “immediate” evacuation and as bombardment continues.
Deadly Israeli raids continue also in the occupied West Bank, where more than 112 Palestinians have been killed in three weeks.
More children have been killed in Gaza in the last three weeks than the total killed in conflicts around the world in every year since 2019, Save the Children said./Tasnim news
