Afghanistan's economic security depends on the growth of agriculture

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e Sharif: Maulavi Shamsuddin Khalid, head of agriculture, irrigation and livestock of Balkh province, told the media at the establishment ceremony of the oil processing factory in this province: the country cannot achieve self-sufficiency without the development of agriculture and after the war 45 years old, now is the time to strive for progress and self-sufficiency, therefore, all sections of the society should support the farmers.
 
He added: "After tens of years of war, the people of Afghanistan succeeded in providing military security from the hands of the enemies. Now we have to step and work towards economic security."
 
Maulavi Khalid stated that the economic security of Afghanistan depends on the growth of agriculture in this country and more attention should be paid to support the farmers, therefore the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock is the supporter, partner and servant of the farmers.
 
He said that the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has established a 150 communication line to hear and deal with farmers' problems.
 
Imamuddin Sanaizadeh, the head of the Chamber of Industries and Mines of Balkh Province, welcomed the establishment of the oil processing factory and said: "Cultivation and agriculture will not grow and develop without industry, and I think that both farmers and industrialists should be supported by the people and the government."
 
He asked the national businessmen to stop the process of investing abroad and start investing inside the country, and attention should be paid to solving the problems of the labor industry and farmers.
 
Meanwhile, officials in Mofid Group Company told the media that the establishment of the oil processing factory is part of the company's investment in the country worth more than one million dollars, and that this factory produces 20 tons of oil in 24 hours and provides work for 150 people.
 
It is worth mentioning that a number of farmers from Balkh Province, who were present at this ceremony, said: the activity of the oil processing factory allows the farmers to sell their products such as cotton seeds, zaghir, sesame seeds, chameleon seeds and other agricultural products at a good price in the country.
