4-Day Polio Vaccination Campaign Starts In Afghanistan
In the 4-day campaign, more than 6 million children will receive the polio vaccine. The Ministry of Public Health said.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, This time also the Ministry of Public Health directed a campaign in 11 provinces of the country.

The spokesman of the ministry said that more than 6 million children will receive the vaccine in this 4-day vaccination campaign.

Some residents of Nangarhar province were also happy from the start of this vaccination campaign and asked the Ministry of Public Health to pay serious attention to the destruction of this illness.

"We ask the relevant departments to increase the teams in Nangarhar and find solutions to the cases of this disease," said Khalid Khyal, Nangarhar resident.

"Our request is that in remote areas where there are many Afghans, teams be dispatched,” said Mohammad Edris, Nangarhar resident.

Meanwhile, some vaccinators demanded that people cooperate with the implementation of this vaccine.

“Respectful families would be kind enough to allow us to cooperate with us when we and our colleagues go to their gates, and bring children under the age of five who are bringing them to us,” said Mohammad Naqib Sahel, a member of vaccination campaign.

“At the same time that we started campaigns, we had a lot of rejection from families that wouldn't allow us to vaccinate their kids ... which is a very serious risk to our children,” said Farida Hussaini, a vaccine worker.

A number of doctors say that for the eradication of this illness, besides directing campaigns, the advice for the advantages of this vaccine should also be given to people, especially for remote areas of the country.

"The biggest problem we face right now is the number of positive cases in the border provinces that have a bad outlook on vaccines. Until this corrupt view is eliminated, we cannot stop polio,” said Fawad Ibrahimi, a doctor.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries that are struggling from these illnesses. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Public Health, from the start of the current year till now, 6 cases of this illness have been recorded.
