Pakistan should reconsider the way it deals with Afghan refugees
In response to the expulsion and harassment of Afghan immigrants in Pakistan, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said that dealing with Afghan immigrants in Pakistan is not acceptable, and Pakistan should reconsider its plan in this regard.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, wrote on his X social page today (Wednesday, October 04, 2023) that dealing with Afghan immigrants in Pakistan is not acceptable, and the Pakistani side should reconsider its plan in this regard.

He added: As long as the Afghan immigrants come out of Pakistan on their own and slowly, the government of Pakistan should be patient.

Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan announced that it will deport more than one million illegal Afghan refugees from that country.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International has also said that many Afghans have gone to Pakistan after the Islamic Emirate came to power, where they have been subjected to waves of arbitrary arrests, imprisonment and threats of deportation.

Amnesty International added: "It is very worrying that the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan is not receiving international attention."

Also, according to a new instruction that has been sent to Pakistan's immigration authorities’ at all Afghan border crossings, passports will be used as the only travel document from November 1, 2023.

This instruction states: "No other document will be accepted for travel from Afghanistan to Pakistan."

It is worth mentioning that based on the previous policy of the government of Pakistan, the people of the tribes divided between the two sides of the Durand Line and the sick could enter the territory of Pakistan with a Tazkira.
