Dozens of cases of sexual assault on women in a refugee camp in Germany
German media have reported that a 54-year-old security guard at a refugee camp in Nuremberg has been charged with at least 77 cases of sexual assault on female refugees between 2018 and 2022, according to prosecutors in the southern state of Bavaria.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Reports indicate that this accused assaulted two women "dozens of times".

The prosecutor's office announced that the accused has been in custody since January of last year and has denied all the charges.

According to Deutsche Welle, the spokesperson of the prosecutor's office also added that following the disclosure of this issue, only female security employees have been stationed in this location since about three months ago.

According to the spokesperson of the prosecutor's office, refugees from Iran, Syria, Uganda, Nigeria, Benin, Iraq, Cuba, Turkey, Ethiopia, Belarus, Somalia and several other countries live in this refugee settlement.

This is despite the fact that last year dozens of cases of sexual assault against refugee women and children were recorded.
