The talks ended without results due to the reopening of the Torkham crossing
Pakistan's border officials have said that the talks between the representatives of Afghanistan and Pakistan about the reopening of the Torkham crossing have ended without results.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: This meeting was a continuation of the previous meetings between the border officials of the two sides, held yesterday (Sunday, September 10, 2023), but no progress was made in the negotiations and the Torkham gate is still closed.

This is the second meeting held between Pakistani and Afghan officials regarding the reopening of the Torkham crossing, and it remains fruitless.

The Torkham crossing was closed to traffic last Wednesday following the border conflict between the forces of the two countries.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, by publishing a statement, considered the blocking of the Torkham crossing by the Pakistani authorities to be against good neighborliness and declared this action to the detriment of Pakistan's economy.
