Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Ahmadullah Vathiq, the spokesperson of the Commission for Contact with Afghan Personalities, said that during the last two months, more than 30 members of the previous government have returned to the country, including political and military figures.
He added that Yusof Nooristani, the head of the Election Commission, and Maryam Kofi, the representative of Takhar in the former Wolesi Jirga, are among those who recently returned to the country.
Vathiq says: Since the establishment of this commission, nearly 700 people have returned to the country. He assures the Afghan personalities that all those who return to the country are safe, and this commission has also distributed immunity cards to the people who have returned to the country.
It is worth mentioning that after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, a large number of high-ranking officials of the republic took refuge in different countries of the world.
