Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) stated in a report released two days ago that in the past two years, at least 800 incidents of human rights violations have occurred in Afghanistan, including extrajudicial killings.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a conversation with "Al Jazeera" news channel that the UNAMA report is not documented and none of the claims in this report have been proven or confirmed.
Balkhi has pointed out that this is not a citation report, but a report by UNAMA, which was not cooperated with the government and the responsible authorities, and the government attached its opinions to it, the alleged cases in this report were not confirmed and proved. There are no details showing how and where the incidents happened.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that UNAMA should have shared the contents of this report with judicial and judicial institutions before publishing it, so that it could be investigated, and at the end of the work, judicial and judicial findings would also be attached to it.
He has stated that there is a lot of contradiction in the report, this report actually points to a significant reduction in targeted and extra-legal killings, if we compare this report with 2019, the cases of human rights violations have decreased significantly, and this shows that that progress has been made in security and respect for human rights in Afghanistan.
Fiona Fraser, head of human rights at the United Nations Office in Afghanistan, also says that we want to have clear and explicit commitments from the ruling authorities in Afghanistan regarding the observance of human rights and the removal of impunity from the perpetrators and violators of human rights.
He added that we want the amnesty decree to be fully implemented; We want to see instructions in this regard; Research should be done in this regard. The government has the responsibility to prevent the violation of human rights and to hold the perpetrators accountable and to ensure the safety and protection of the people.
Also, Stephan Dujarric, the spokesman of the UN Secretary General, said that despite the announcement by the Islamic Emirate authorities of a general amnesty, former government officials and former members of the Afghan Defense and National Security Forces have been killed. The chief secretary asks the ruling authorities to prevent extra-legal killings and hold the violators accountable.
