In this meeting, the Minister of Agriculture explained the purpose of his visit to the Governor of Kunar province and spoke about the plans of the Ministry of Agriculture to change the living conditions of farmers and ranchers through different channels.
Omri said: "We want our property to become self-sufficient and exportable from an imported state, and for this purpose, in the agricultural sector, we distribute modified seed eggs to increase yields, in the livestock sector, to modernize the dairy system, in the natural resources sector, to protect and develop." The sustainability of natural resources, in the irrigation sector, the management of abundant water in the country and its effective use, and in the land sector, the management and uniformity of the country's land are among the goals and plans of the Ministry of Agriculture.
He added that for this purpose, we came to Kunar province to closely examine the situation related to these issues.
Also, the Minister of Agriculture spoke about the protection and effective use of resources and added: "Kunar Province is one of the provinces where the largest number of forest areas are located, so we must coordinate with each other in the protection, sustainable development and effective use of the forests of Kunar Province. Let's work seriously."
Meanwhile, Maulavi Qadratullah Abu Hamza, the governor of Kunar province, welcomed the programs and services of the Ministry of Agriculture in Kunar province and spoke about the importance of forests and said: "Forests really play a role in greening the country and we want to tell you about this. We assure that we will protect the country's forests and natural resources in accordance with the laws and procedures of the Ministry of Agriculture.
In this meeting, the chiefs of agriculture of Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, the head of Nangarhar canal, the head of forest regulation, the head of information and public awareness and the official advisor of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and a number of local officials and district governors of Kunar province were present.
It should be mentioned that Afghanistan, with abundant natural resources and suitable climate, is one of the countries that can produce the most agricultural products; However, due to the lack of suitable facilities and the traditional nature of agriculture, it has still not been able to provide all the agricultural needs of its people.
