Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The two Northern European countries emphasized that they are doing this to reduce the growing tensions with several Muslim countries.
In recent weeks, Denmark and Sweden have witnessed numerous demonstrations in which copies of the Koran, the Muslim holy book, have been burned or desecrated.
This action has greatly angered Muslim countries and they have asked the governments of Northern Europe to stop these actions.
In this regard, the Danish government said that it is looking for a "legal instrument" that would enable the authorities to intervene in such protests.
According to this report, Copenhagen says it intends to use these legal tools if these actions have significant negative consequences for Denmark, especially in the field of security.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen told reporters: "We are doing our best both inside and outside the country, and we hope it will help reduce tensions."
He further added: "We are doing this not only because we are under pressure from outside, but it is our political analysis that pursuing such actions is in the interest of all of us. "We should not sit alone and watch the explosion."
The Swedish government has said that it is considering a similar solution, but right-wing parties in both countries have condemned these initiatives and say that freedom of speech should not be compromised.
Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström said on Monday that he had sent letters to all 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to explain the right to hold rallies in Sweden, while also condemning Islamophobic actions.
On behalf of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, they convened an extraordinary meeting to discuss the recent developments, in which they strongly condemned the Quran burnings.
This organization also announced in a statement after the end of this meeting that it wants member countries to take appropriate measures, whether political or economic, in countries where the Quran is desecrated.
In this statement, while strongly condemning what has been called "insult to the Quran" in Sweden and Denmark, it is stated: "The Organization of Islamic Cooperation decided to send a delegation to the European Union Commission to take measures to prevent the repetition of such acts under the title of freedom. The statement is made, adopt it.
Quran burning and desecration of the holy book of Muslims have been met with widespread reactions in Afghanistan, the center of cultural and social activities of Tebyan had strongly condemned this act in a press conference some time ago.
