Muttaqi Seeks Agha Khan Foundation’s Cooperation in Protection of Historical Monuments
A statement from the office of the Foreign Ministry of Islamic Emirate said, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with the new Chief Executive Officer of Aga Khan Foundation, asked for further cooperation of the organization for the restoration and preservation of historical monuments.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to the statement, Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the new CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation for Afghanistan Najmuddin Najm, and his accompanying delegation.
 
In the meeting, Najm shared information about the organization’s new mission in Afghanistan and its activities in the health, educational, agricultural, and cultural sectors as well as the projects in the economic development, response to natural disasters, and reconstruction of 140 cultural heritage-historical sites in Afghanistan.
 
Mr. Muttaqi appreciated the services of the Aga Khan Foundation as crucial for the development of Afghanistan and stated the foundation can do more in the restoration and preservation of historical monuments of the country.
 
The CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation previously expressed gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for its collaboration with the foundation and expressed hope that they would be able to provide additional services to the people of Afghanistan.
