Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The leadership of the Ministry of Economy, in a meeting, made public the one-year report of the ministry's activities, achievements and future plans.
In this press conference that was held at the Government Information and Media Center; Dr. Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Professional of the Ministry of Economy, spoke about the "Economic Diplomacy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" and said that this diplomacy is based on a theory known in international relations as the "self-help" theory.
He added that the Islamic Emirate wants and is trying to use the domestic and indigenous capacities in the country for the economic growth and development of the country.
The deputy expert of the Ministry of Economy considered sufficient knowledge of international markets for export and import, prioritization of economic partners of the Islamic Emirate, economic development and growth of the country, efforts to make better and effective use of the geographical location of Afghanistan, cancellation and neutralization of sanctions as indicators of economic diplomacy of the Islamic Emirate.
Abdul Latif Nazari called diplomacy with an "economic perspective" that prevents economic collapse, controls inflation, increases exports, reduces rates, and transparently collects revenues as one of the economic diplomacy indicators of the Islamic Emirate, which is on the agenda.
Meanwhile, Mufti Abdul Salam Ashrafi, head of the integration of non-governmental institutions of the Ministry of Economy, and Abdul Rahman Habib, the spokesman of that ministry, gave information about the activities and important achievements of the ministry.
According to them, in the past year, 376 new institutions have been registered in the Ministry of Economy, of which 355 are domestic and 21 are foreign.
Also, including four foreign institutions and 212 domestic institutions, 216 non-governmental institutions have been dissolved due to lack of activity.
According to the information of the officials of the Ministry of Economy; With a value of one billion and 647 million dollars, the implementation plan of 3,573 projects has been reported to this ministry through the single budget of institutions and information systems, of which 2,233 projects have been completed and 1,340 projects are under construction.
These projects are in the sectors of health, education, agriculture and irrigation, social security, infrastructure, and fighting terrorism.
It should be mentioned that currently, there are 2,393 non-governmental institutions, of which 272 are foreign and 2,121 are domestic; It is registered in the Ministry of Economy.
