The victory of Afghanistan national futsal team against Kyrgyzstan
Afghanistan's national futsal team defeated Kyrgyzstan's national team 4-5 today in its first game in the Central Asian Futsal Championship (CAF).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Afghanistan's national futsal team faced Kyrgyzstan today in its first match in the Central Asian Futsal Championship (CAF) in the city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and won 4-5. The futsal teams of Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are participating in this tournament.
 
Afghanistan national futsal team won 2-4 in the first half today; but he conceded two goals in the second half and the game was tied 4-4. Until the Afghan players were able to score the fifth goal in the last minutes of the match and win 4-5.
 
The Afghan team won this game while Kyrgyzstan is 11th in the futsal ranking of Asia and Afghanistan is 22nd. Afghanistan's next match is against Uzbekistan, one of the strongest futsal teams in Asia, on Monday, July 24, 2023.
 
Majid Mortezaei, the Iranian coach of Afghanistan, said after the game: "It was a difficult game, first we conceded two early goals; But the Afghan players continued to play well and we were able to win the first half. In the second half, the opponent was behind by two goals, they increased the pressure and the game was tied. Finally, we were able to win the game with Mehran Gholami's goal.
 
Ali Fayazi, the captain of the country's national team, also said: "It was a difficult game; because the opposing team was unknown to us. The first game in every tournament is difficult and some time is needed for the players to adapt to the conditions of the tournament.
 
He added: "Thank God we won the game and I dedicate this victory to the people of Afghanistan. I hope we can make the hearts of the people of our country happy in the continuation of the games."
