Complaints of the citizens of Kabul about the increase in electricity consumption in the capital
The citizens of Kabul, complaining about the increase in electricity demand, say that government officials should try to solve the electricity problem fundamentally, because according to them, in the current situation, having electricity is one of the basic necessities of life, however, the problems in this area have been increasing for several years.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdullah Noori, a resident of the sixth district of Kabul, told AVA that the government should try to fundamentally solve the problem of electricity, because in the current situation, having electricity is one of the basic necessities of life.

Stating that the citizens of Kabul have 8-9 hours of electricity in 24 hours, he added that every year with the arrival of the hot season, the electricity demand increases, but the government has not taken a basic solution to solve this problem.

Noori emphasized: Although several contracts were signed with different countries to improve the electricity situation in Kabul and other provinces in the past years and millions of dollars were spent in this sector, the electricity problem has not been fundamentally solved yet.

Also, Nader Ali Safdari, the owner of one of the sewing factories, told AVA: the increase in electricity demand has caused several factories to stop their work and their workers to be unemployed.

He added that if a basic solution regarding electricity is not considered, a large number of manufacturing plants will be closed in the country, then many problems will arise for the citizens.

Meanwhile, Haroon Ahmadi, another resident of the third district of Kabul city, told AVA that in this hot summer weather, continuous power outages have created many problems for the citizens, because people cannot get water out of the ground without electricity.

He also added that in the current situation, most of people's daily activities depend on electricity and the lack of electricity has caused them to lose their jobs and professions in addition to other problems.

But the Breshna company says that the amount of production of the power plant of domestic sources has decreased due to the lack of water, and after this, in addition to Kabul, other provinces will also be equipped with high power supply.

Officials of Breshna Company have said that Naglu and Sarubi electricity production factories related to the electricity production department have produced 2,236 megawatts of electricity in the last twenty-four hours, which indicates a decrease in electricity production compared to the past. The provinces will also be equipped with electricity.

Breshna Company has asked all its subscribers to pay special attention to saving electricity so that this company can provide electricity to many areas through the public system.

Nearly 80% of Afghanistan's electricity is supplied from Tajikistan, Iran and Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, the country's domestic electricity production also reaches 22%.

It should be remembered that every year with the arrival of the hot season, the electricity demand increases in Kabul and other provinces of the country, and the Breshna Company has not yet been able to supply the necessary electricity to the country.
