Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: British Defense Minister Ben Wallace announced in a statement addressed to the country's parliament that the investigation that began in March about the operation of Special Forces in Afghanistan, "has now reached the basic hearing stage and I can I confirm the allegations made against the behavior of the British special forces.
According to the collected documents, probably 80 Afghan citizens were killed between 2010 and 2013 during the British Special Forces mission in Helmand province.
These murders were carried out in line with the policy of "killing all Afghan men of fighting age".
The British Ministry of Defense has also said that the country's Special Forces must keep their identities secret in the midst of war crimes trials.
The British government launched an independent inquiry last year to investigate the conduct of the country's special forces from mid-2010 to mid-2013 following reports of executions of Afghan prisoners.
The families of the victims claim that there have been at least 30 suspicious incidents that have resulted in the deaths of more than 80 people, many of them linked to a British Special Forces unit, the SAS.
It should be noted that Australian Special Forces are also facing similar investigations.
