Shaheen: Our Focus is on Seeking Recognition for the Islamic Emirate
The head of the Islamic Emirate’s Qatar-based Political Office, has said that their primary objective is to facilitate the recognition of the Afghan interim government.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Shaheen emphasized that all their activities align with the guidelines set by the leader of the Islamic Emirate.

“We are engaging with representatives and delegations from various countries here in Afghanistan,” Shaheen stated. “Our focus is on seeking recognition for the Islamic Emirate, resuming humanitarian aid, initiating development projects, and establishing positive relations.”

Political analysts and former diplomats believe that the Islamic Emirate’s Office in Qatar could play a crucial role in improving relations between the international community and the interim Afghan government.

“This office should have a well-structured program to enhance Afghanistan’s relations with the world, attract humanitarian aid, address economic challenges, encourage investments, and address political issues that are in the best interest of Afghanistan and its people,” commented Aziz Maarij, a former diplomat.

The Islamic Emirate established its political office in Doha, the capital of Qatar, in June 2013. It was in this office that the former US administration under Donald Trump negotiated a peace deal with the Islamic movement after multiple rounds of discussions.
