Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Iran and Uzbekistan high-ranking officials signed a joint statement and 10 cooperation documents in various fields in the presence of the presidents of the two countries.
The President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirzayev and his accompanying delegation, who traveled to Tehran today, after meeting with the President of Iran, met and talked with the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, yesterday (Sunday, June 18).
According to Iran Press, these 10 cooperation documents include preferential trade agreement, transportation and transit, pharmaceutical cooperation, cooperation plan in the fields of standards and insurance, investigation of the possibility of creating joint free zones, executive plan of cooperation in the field of technology and innovation, and executive plan of cooperation. In the agricultural sector, it was among the axes of the documents signed between the officials of Iran and Uzbekistan in the presence of the presidents of the two countries.
The President of Uzbekistan has traveled to Tehran at the official invitation of the President of Iran and after 20 years, at the head of a high-ranking delegation of political and economic officials, with the aim of increasing economic and commercial cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.
