Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to provincial traffic police, three commuters were killed and 20 others injured in two separate road accidents in the Laghman province of Afghanistan on Saturday.
The first accident occurred Saturday evening when a minibus crashed with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction on the Kabul-Nangarhar highway, resulting in two fatalities and 20 injuries.
The second accident occurred a few minutes later when a vehicle overturned due to careless driving in the same area, killing one person on the spot, said a statement.
In a similar incident in Wardak province of Afghanistan, two people were killed, and eight others were injured on Friday.
Reckless driving, bad roads, a lack of the rule of law, and poorly maintained cars are all contributing factors to the rise in traffic accidents in the country.
