Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Nematullah Barakzai, the spokesperson of Kabul Municipality, stated in an interview with AVA reporter on Thursday, 4th of Gemini, that the construction works in the capital are going on with their permission.
Barakzai added: Those who have received permits for the construction of tall houses in the previous or new government, there is no obstacle to their work, and the construction of buildings in Kabul city is currently underway.
Barakzai clarified that those who do not carry out the construction process according to the license issued by this department, their work will be stopped.
Referring to the construction of roads in Kabul city, Barakzai added that the Kabul municipality will complete the work of the ring road inside the city of Kabul this year, and with the completion of this project, the traffic nodes of the capital will be opened.
The spokesperson of Kabul municipality also stated that permission is given for a number of high-rise buildings in Kabul city, depending on the area and connecting road they have.
At the same time, many people who build high-rise buildings complain about the high cost of urban services charged by Kabul Municipality.
Haider Mohammadi, a resident of Kabul city, told AVA that the Kabul municipality charges a lot for municipal services and he cannot afford it.
He added that Kabul Municipality wants up to 30% green area in many areas, which is not acceptable for them.
It is said that most of the construction works in the capital have been stopped after the Islamic Emirate regained control of the country.
