Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): a high-ranking Ukrainian official announced that the American authorities do not allow Ukrainian pilots to see the combat training of F-16 fighters because they do not intend to provide these fighters to Kiev.
According to the New York Times, this Ukrainian official added that despite the fact that some European countries are ready to deliver the F-16, to deliver this plane to Kiev, they need to get approval from the United States, which produces these fighters. The publication noted that without Washington's agreement, the training of Ukrainian pilots will be reduced to the level of tactical exercises and the study of technical language.
According to this newspaper, the US government does not want to transfer the fighter jets to Ukraine due to their high cost, and it is also worried that the American secret technologies, including the radar installed in these fighters, will fall into the hands of Russia.
Also, Jake Sylvan, the US President's adviser on national affairs, emphasized that the US decision not to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine remains unchanged.
