The foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, Turkey and Syria emphasized their commitments to Syria in their quadrilateral meeting in Moscow by issuing a statement.

According to Iran Press, it is stated in this statement that according to UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and the official statements in the Astana process, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to the territorial integrity of Syria, non-interference in internal affairs and fighting all forms of terrorism. They emphasized separatism and extremism in this country and the need to exercise the national sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic throughout the territory of this country and declared their readiness to remove the existing obstacles to the realization of these principles.
 
The statement noted: The participants also agreed that the deputy foreign ministers should undertake the task of designing a road map for advancing relations between Turkey and Syria in coordination with the ministries of defense and intelligence chiefs of the four countries.
 
The statement added: It was also emphasized the importance of increasing international aid to Syria, including with the aim of facilitating the voluntary, safe and dignified return of Syrians to their land and post-war reconstruction.
 
The joint statement of the quadrilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Moscow reminded: the officials of the four countries welcomed the meetings of the defense ministers and the heads of the intelligence services of the four countries in Moscow, and evaluated its decisions in line with the security and stability of the Syrian Arab Republic.
 
The statement added: The participants agreed to oblige the deputy ministers of foreign affairs to prepare a road map to advance the normalization between Turkey and Syria and to implement the resolutions of this meeting.
 
The joint statement of the quadrilateral meeting of the Moscow foreign ministers stated: The ministers had a positive and constructive atmosphere in the exchange of views and agreed that high-level technical talks and contacts will continue in this quadrilateral format in the coming period.
 
It should be noted that this meeting was hosted by Russia on Wednesday regarding the resolution of Syrian issues.
