Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The first empowerment program in the field of governance and management of the health system, as well as the 26th meeting of senior experts of G5countries (Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Iraq) in the field of health system cooperation, this Saturday morning, May 6, with the presence of the Ministries of Public Health of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, as well as the Deputy Minister of Health of Iraq, officials of the World Health Organization and the United Nations, it started working in Tehran's Esteghlal Hotel.
Speaking at this meeting, Dr. Bahram Ainullahi, the Minister of Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: We must be able to provide health promotion platforms in the region and cooperate in all neighboring countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Tajikistan, because there is movement across borders.
He stated: We should work together to improve health indicators in the region and use the experiences of other countries in this field and reach a point where professors and scientists can travel to other countries and hold joint scientific conferences.
Dr. Ainullahi continued: This is the third meeting of experts from the G5 countries in the 13th government, and very good results were obtained in the previous meetings.
According to the Minister of Health of Iran, one of the challenges we have in the region is infectious diseases and their management, while in some advanced countries some infectious diseases do not cause death, in some countries of the region we see high statistics of these diseases, which imposes a lot of costs on the countries and we need to work together to present a joint program to prevent infectious diseases and we want the health of all countries in the region.
He added: Considering that we have joint religious gatherings with neighboring countries, including the great Arbaeen gathering, and the health of the people of our country and the people of Iraq and neighboring countries is very important to us, we hope to have separate meetings to manage these mass gatherings.
He stated: One of the important problems we have in the field of health today is the management of the health system. We cannot provide good services only by having doctors and nurses, but we need a correct system and proper management of the health system, which will be discussed in today's meeting.
On the other hand, Mrs. Ansia Khazali, Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, said in this meeting: In the years after the Islamic Revolution, Iran has been able to reduce maternal mortality by 90% and is one of the leading countries in reducing.
He expressed his hope that in this meeting we will be able to develop the prevention of contagious diseases with the cooperation of neighboring countries and support health and treatment in the region in a comprehensive manner.
Mrs. Khazali emphasized: I am happy that a contract was signed in this meeting and some sisters from Afghanistan will come to Iran for medical training, we had students from other countries like Iraq.
He added: At the same time, the Presidential Office of Women and Family is ready to provide the conditions to cooperate with countries in the region in the training and special skills of entrepreneurship and empowering women.
The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs said: We hope that with serious efforts, cooperation and empathy will be established between the countries of the region, and we will be able to curb and eradicate infectious diseases in the region, and we will be able to raise the level of women's health and treatment, so that women with their own capabilities and education in The world should be a model.
