Conflicts in Sudan; 43 stranded Afghan citizens were transferred from Sudan to Saudi Arabia
The Afghanistan Embassy in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, has said that 43 Afghan citizens who were stuck in Sudan during the recent conflicts have been safely transferred to Saudi Arabia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The embassy wrote on its Facebook page on Monday, May 1, that this number of people were transferred to this country with the cooperation of the government of Saudi Arabia.
 
On the 7th of Thor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate announced that the first group of Afghan citizens was transferred from Sudan to the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will soon be transferred to Kabul.
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate did not provide specific statistics of these people.
 
Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, had previously said that 120 Afghan citizens were trapped in the Sudanese war.
 
Clashes between the Sudanese army and the "Rapid Support Forces" began in the early hours of April 15 in Khartoum, the capital, and other Sudanese cities, and according to reports, have left hundreds dead and wounded.
 
Although the ceasefire between the two sides of the conflict has been extended, sporadic clashes are still reported.
