Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The head of the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Mohammad Yunus Mohmand, termed transfer of gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan an important step for the economic development of the country.
Before this, gas was transferred to Pakistan via Iran’s routes, and since the the Islamic Emirate sovereignty in Afghanistan the security maintained and now transit routes are safe for any large-scale exports in the country he added.
Meanwhile, Kandahar customs head Mawlavi Mohammad Hamid Ahmed said that 22,891 cargoes were transited to Central Asia and other countries via Afghanistan tranist routes in the solar year 1400.
He assured that there will be no obstacle or delay in the export of gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan tranist routes.
In the opening, 50 cargoes of gas, which had arrived in Kandahar from Turkmenistan, were sent to Pakistan via Spin Boldak.
