The United Nations should maintain its neutrality regarding Afghanistan
After the issuance of the United Nations Security Council resolution and the high pressure of the Islamic Emirate to cancel the restrictions against women; International relations experts say that the United Nations must maintain its neutrality in its decisions regarding Afghanistan; because the current government in Afghanistan has observed most of the international laws.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Yesterday (Friday, April 28), the UN Security Council in a resolution called for the immediate cancellation of all the restrictive measures of the Islamic Emirate against women and asked all governments and organizations to use their influence to fulfill the orders.

However, the Islamic Emirate reacted to this resolution in a statement and called women's work an internal social issue of Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate reacted to this resolution by issuing a statement and said that in accordance with international laws and the strong commitment of UN member states to respect the independent elections of Afghanistan, restrictions on the work of Afghan women in UN institutions is an internal social issue of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Sayed Zakir Hussaini, an expert on international relations, said in an interview with Ava: "The United Nations, the decisions it takes about Afghanistan, must maintain its neutrality, because the current government in Afghanistan has complied with most of the international laws.”.

He added that the imposition of sanctions and restrictions on the government of Afghanistan by the United Nations has had a negative impact on the lives of the country's citizens, and with each passing day, the people are getting poorer and the humanitarian crisis is increasing.

Hosseini stated that the United Nations should unconditionally stop imposing sanctions on the Islamic Emirate in order to curb the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, adding that if the international community continues to impose restrictions on the existing government in the country, insecurity and poverty will increase. Asian countries will also.

This expert on international relations noted that the United Nations must follow all its rules and regulations and there should be no discrimination or favoritism in relations with countries.

At the same time, Qayyum Sufizadeh, a university professor and international relations expert, also said in an interview with Ava that the imposition of restrictions and sanctions by the United Nations on the Afghan government can lead to more poverty, because sanctions usually reduce trade and investment in country and causes a decrease in employment and economic growth.

He added that the leaders of the Islamic Emirate should make changes in their policies and not hinder women's education and work, adding that women should have equal access to education and job opportunities with men. Because this work helps a lot to increase the ability and economic potential of the society.

On the other hand, Anas Haqqani, a prominent member of the Islamic Emirate, also responded to the United Nations resolution and said that this organization should not continue with the failed policy of applying pressure.

Haqqani wrote in a tweet that positions that are not based on deep understanding do not have desirable results and will always be ineffective.
