Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Maulavi Abdullah Hamid, head of mines and petroleum of Baghlan Province, stated yesterday that 74 tons of coal are extracted from the Karker mines of this province daily, which is 2,220 tons on average in a month.
According to him, 269 people have been provided jobs in the large Karker Pul-Khumri coal mine.
Besides that, Nasrullah, one of the employees of Karker Coal Mines, stated that many of these mines in Baghlan province are not up to standard, and the miners are always facing smoke, gas, lack of oxygen, and other problems, but they are trying to ensure that extraction is carried out in a standard way.
This is while the Karker coal mines of Baghlan province were discovered in 1317 AH, and were developed in 1350 AH, and in 1366 AH, its extraction was increasing and reached 160 thousand tons, but in 1377 AH, it decreased to 10 thousand tons.
