The President of Syria visited the United Arab Emirates
Arabic-language media have reported that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has arrived in the country, Saturday, March 18, for the purpose of talking to the United Arab Emirates officials.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad arrived in the United Arab Emirates today on an official visit to meet with the country's officials.
 
It has been said that this trip is aimed at expanding political and economic relations between the two countries.
 
The United Arab Emirates was one of the Arab countries that severed its relations with the Syrian government after the start of the civil war in Syria. But after the reduction of violence and the end of the war, it was among the first countries to re-establish relations with the Syrian government.
 
A few days ago, the President of Syria arrived in Moscow during an official visit and discussed and exchanged opinions with high-ranking officials of this country regarding ways to expand bilateral relations. Now Assad has entered the capital of the UAE, and this is the first foreign trip of the Syrian president after the terrible earthquake that shook the country a while ago.
 
The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries that has extensive trade relations with Syria. This country has recently allocated aid to this country for the purpose of rebuilding Syria.
 
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's visit to the United Arab Emirates takes place a few weeks ago and after a decade, the parliamentary heads of Arab countries visited Syria.
