Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: During the opening ceremony of this exhibition, Engineer Nisar Ahmed Yasini, the head of the Herat Engineers Union, said: "Today is the second time we are witnessing the opening of a large exhibition of construction materials in the past one year in Herat."
He added: In this exhibition, more than 60 types of construction materials from domestic production have been displayed in 31 booths.
He added that this exhibition was held to introduce construction materials and to promote the use of domestic products.
Engineer Yasini stated: This exhibition will continue for 4 days and those interested can visit this place every day.
The head of the Herat Engineers Union also asked the government to cooperate with them in reducing taxes and supplying electricity so that domestic products can compete with construction materials imported from abroad.
On the other hand, Sayed Masoud Sadat, Deputy Oil and Gas of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment of the country, says that they hope that one day the country will become self-sufficient in all sectors of construction materials production.
He asked businessmen and investors to invest in the country and thereby help the country's self-sufficiency.
Also, Maulavi Mohammad Bashir Sirat, head of industry and trade in Herat, said: The Islamic Emirate pays special attention to the growth and strengthening of domestic production and receives more taxes from foreign products.
At the same time, the exhibitors in this exhibition are happy to hold such exhibitions and say that holding these exhibitions is a bridge between producers and people and is very effective in introducing domestic products.
They ask the government officials to give them all-round support and reduce the amount of taxes and tariffs on domestic products.
This is despite the fact that according to officials, this year the amount of domestic production in the building materials sector has increased compared to previous years.
