Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Aid in Afghanistan (OCHA) tweeted today (Tuesday, February 28, 2023) that out of 8.7 million people who need educational support, 3.1 million in 2023, they are in priority.
According to the office of OCHA, $215 million is needed to support community-oriented education, including girls, to provide educational materials and school supplies, and to train teachers.
This is despite the fact that currently girls' schools above the sixth grade and universities are closed to girls for learning, but there are speculations that with the beginning of the new year of 1402 AH, universities and schools will be reopened with changes in the curriculum and environment.
